Buildings without a lift
Pre-war and Stalin-era buildings often have no lift, and the extractor weighs around twenty kilograms. We carry it up by hand and charge nothing extra for that, but we ask you to name the floor when booking: for a fifth floor without a lift the cleaner allows more travel time.
Older furniture
A sofa from the sixties with wooden armrests is cleaned like a modern one, with two caveats. First, fabric of that period is often dyed with an unstable colour, so testing a hidden patch is mandatory. Second, if the foam inside is crumbling, water will make that more obvious — and the cleaner says so before starting.
What comes out
The grey film, food stains, coffee and pet marks come out in most cases. Yellow patches on old upholstery are usually oxidised glue or the foam itself, and no product removes them — an honest answer better heard before you pay than after.
How the work is done
The job is done at home; nothing is dismantled or taken away. A Kärcher extractor pushes the solution into the fabric under pressure and pulls it back out with the dirt. A sofa takes about an hour, an armchair twenty minutes, and the fabric dries in four to eight hours.
We do not wash removable covers: those go into your machine according to the label, while the foam underneath is cleaned in place.
