A mattress that has waited too long
In rented flats a mattress is often something nobody has ever cleaned. Old sweat marks are treated with an enzyme product, and the outcome depends on their age: recent ones disappear, years-old ones fade. If mould has started inside — visible as dark patches on both sides — cleaning will not help, and we say that outright.
Noise and timing
The extractor is louder than a vacuum cleaner, so in buildings with thin partitions we do not start before nine in the morning. One mattress takes forty minutes, a sofa about an hour, and the fabric dries in four to eight hours.
How the work is done
Everything is done on the spot: the mattress stays on the bed and the sofa is not dismantled. The fabric is vacuumed, treated with a professional solution and extracted with a Kärcher machine that pulls the dissolved dirt out along with the water. A hidden patch is always tested first.
