The balcony is cleaned last and therefore least often. That is logical: nobody lives there. But it is exactly where dust enters the room every time you open the door, and where a winter's worth of grime builds up before being carried through the flat within a week.
The "balcony" item means the floor, walls, sill, ceiling with its cobwebs and the outside of any cupboards. Sorting through belongings is not included: the cleaner works around what stands there and does not decide what to throw away.
Glazing is counted by section: every two sashes, or one floor-to-ceiling sash, is one window at UAH 350. A six-section loggia comes to 2,100 plus 299 for the cleaning itself. That is the most common spring booking.
We wash the outer side wherever there is safe access from inside: opening sashes yes, fixed sections above the second floor no.
The screen is taken off, washed in the shower or on the balcony and refitted. There is no separate price for it — it is part of cleaning the window it belongs to. In autumn people often ask for screens to be taken down for winter: we remove them and leave them where you say, but storage and repairing the fixings are not ours.
The most common situation in Kyiv flats is a balcony used as a store room. The cleaner can move boxes aside to wash the floor beneath them if there are few and they weigh a few kilograms. Clearing out a store room is hourly work at UAH 499.
In new builds a loggia is often joined to the room: the radiator goes, the same flooring is laid and floor-to-ceiling glazing is installed. In that case the "balcony" item does not apply — the space counts as part of the room and the glazing by section.
Rust on metal railings, sun-bleached paint, cracks in concrete and mould that has grown into a joint are repairs rather than cleaning. We treat fresh mould, but if it returns within a month the cause is humidity, and washing it monthly makes no sense.
A standard balcony takes forty minutes including the floor and sill. A six-section glazed loggia takes an hour and a half to two hours, because the time goes on the glass rather than the cleaning. In winter we do not wash glazing below minus five: the water freezes.

Fresh mould, yes. If it returns every month the cause is humidity, which cleaning does not cure.
