Panoramic glazing is counted differently from an ordinary window, and that is the first question people ask. There is no "window" here as a separate unit: there is a solid wall of glass divided into sections. We count by sash — every two sections that do not reach the floor, or a single floor-to-ceiling section, make one window at UAH 350.
Worked examples
- a living room with four floor-to-ceiling sections — 4 windows, UAH 1,400;
- corner glazing of six sections — 6 windows, UAH 2,100;
- a French window with a balcony door — 1 window, UAH 350;
- stained glass in two rows by height — counted by row, as two windows;
- panoramic glazing with film after renovation — UAH 499 per section.
The exact count is easiest from a photograph: send the manager a picture of the whole wall and the sum is fixed before the visit.

Where access ends
Panoramic glazing in a new build usually has one or two tilt-and-turn sashes, with the rest fixed. Through the opening sash the cleaner can reach the outer glass of the neighbouring sections with an extension pole — but only within a safe distance and only up to the second floor.
Above the second floor we do not clean the outer side of fixed glazing. That is not caution but physics: without a safety system there is no way to reach it, and leaning out of a ninth-floor window over a streak on the glass is worth nobody's while.
Height and stepladders
Panoramic glazing usually starts at two and a half metres, so a stepladder or a telescopic pole is needed. The cleaner does not always carry one — ordering a stepladder costs UAH 699, and it is better stated when booking than discovered on site.
Streaks on large glass
The larger the pane, the more visible the streaks, so panoramic glazing is cleaned section by section and wiped dry immediately rather than at the end. On a sunny day that is futile: the product dries faster than it can be removed. Overcast weather or the morning works best.
What else is included
The profile around the perimeter, the seal, the fittings of the opening sashes and the drainage holes; the floor tracks if the glazing slides. Mosquito screens are removed and washed at no extra charge.
Panoramic glazing in offices and showrooms
Commercial premises follow the same counting rules but add a schedule: a shop window loses its look within days, so it is cleaned weekly or fortnightly rather than twice a year. For companies we work under a contract with a minimum order of UAH 1,300.
Sliding systems
With sliding glazing the bottom tracks are cleared separately: dust collects there and stops the sash running. That is included in the price of a section but takes longer, so mention a sliding system when booking.
