Fitted carpet cleaning in Kyiv
Fitted carpet is not lifted or taken away — it is cleaned where it lies. The price is UAH 130 per square metre, and the minimum dry cleaning order is UAH 1,399, which is roughly eleven square metres of flooring.
How it works
The carpet is first vacuumed with a professional machine: dry dust and grit have to leave the backing before any water reaches the pile. A Kärcher extractor then sprays the solution into the pile and immediately draws it back out together with the dirt.
Stains are treated individually before the main pass: grease, coffee, pet marks and general soiling need different products, and they are applied separately.
Drying time
The carpet stays damp for four to eight hours. You can walk on it as soon as it dries, so the work is usually planned for the morning at home or for a Friday in an office. An open window or a draught halves the time.
Preparation
Clear small items from the floor and move light furniture aside if you can: the cleaner works on the exposed surface and does not shift heavy wardrobes. Areas under a bed or a shelving unit are not cleaned — there is simply no access.
What to expect
General greying, everyday soiling, smell and fresh stains come out almost every time. Old stains that have already been treated with household chemicals, worn-through patches and sun-bleached pile do not come back — cleaning refreshes them but does not make them new.
In offices, carpet is usually cleaned together with the chairs at UAH 345 each; at home, together with a sofa or a mattress. Payment is after the work, by card or in cash.
