How much flat cleaning costs in Kyiv

A one-room flat starts at UAH 1,950, a two-room flat at UAH 2,400 and a three-room flat at UAH 2,850. Every further room adds UAH 450 and every extra bathroom UAH 550.

The price follows the number of rooms and bathrooms rather than the floor area. A room costs UAH 450, a bathroom UAH 550, the kitchen UAH 800 and the hallway UAH 150 — that is exactly what the starting amount is made of.

What a standard cleaning includes

Kitchen: worktops, backsplash, sink and tap, the outside of units and appliances, the hob, the table and rubbish removal. Bathroom: bath or shower cabin, WC, basin, mirrors, tiles, shelves and taps with limescale. Rooms: dust from every open surface including the tops of wardrobes, mirrors, doors, switches, skirting boards and the floor in corners and under light furniture.

The cleaner works from a checklist, so the scope does not depend on mood or tiredness: the list is the same on the first visit and on the twentieth.

• a window — UAH 350;

How long a visit takes

A one-room flat takes about three to four hours, a two-room flat four to five, a three-room flat from five. The oven, windows and the inside of cabinets add roughly an hour each. You do not have to be at home the whole time: leave the keys with the concierge or order key delivery for UAH 499.

How to pay less

A regular schedule gives a standing discount: 15 % weekly, 10 % twice a month, 5 % once a month.
